NBA releases full schedule for 2023-24 regular season
The NBA unveiled its entire schedule for the 2023-24 regular season on Thursday, highlighted by multiple marquee games in its first week, including conference finals rematches.
Fans can now mark down each of the 82 games for their squads and other notable contests, including:
Oct. 24: The league's annual season-opening doubleheader features the Denver Nuggets receiving their championship rings at home against fellow Western Conference finalists the Los Angeles Lakers, followed by the revamped Phoenix Suns - with new acquisition Bradley Beal in tow - playing the Golden State Warriors.
Oct. 25: Victor Wembanyama's much-anticipated NBA debut with the San Antonio Spurs will take place the second day of the season on national television against the Dallas Mavericks.
Oct. 26: Somehow, LeBron James and Kevin Durant haven't matched up against each other since 2018. That streak should finally end during the Lakers' home opener as they host the Suns.
Oct. 27: The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics will pick up where their legendary seven-game battle in the Eastern Conference finals left off. The Celtics gained Kristaps Porzingis, but lost Marcus Smart in the process. Will the Heat have Damian Lillard on their squad?
Oct. 28: It won't take long for Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse to make his return to Toronto five seasons after winning the Raptors' first championship. How will fans receive the bench boss after a shaky close to his tenure?
Dec. 15: It's probably easier to predict how Memphis Grizzlies fans will react when Houston Rockets wing Dillon Brooks heads back to his old stomping grounds for the first time, thanks to his infamous spat with LeBron in the Grizzlies' playoff series loss to the Lakers last season.
Dec. 25: Christmas Day is always a marquee slot on the NBA calendar. The full five-game slate was reported earlier in August, highlighted by a historic Lakers-Celtics clash and a battle between the league's last two champions in the Warriors and Nuggets.
Jan. 27: As part of the NBA's Rivals Week, the MVP front-runners from each of the last three seasons will guard each other as Joel Embiid's 76ers play Nikola Jokic's Nuggets.
Feb. 4: Arguably the biggest name to switch teams this offseason, Beal and his Suns will visit the Wizards for his first game back in Washington since spending his first 11 years of his career there.
