Lakers great Michael Cooper calls out LeBron for eating on bench
Los Angeles Lakers great Michael Cooper took exception to LeBron James eating on the bench during the team's preseason game against the Golden State Warriors on Friday.
Cooper criticized James' actions on the latest episode of the "Showtime Podcast," saying he should've eaten his meal in the locker room instead.
"I didn't like it," the five-time NBA champion said. "I didn't like that. Again, he's LeBron James, but still, you got to have respect for the game, man ... He's sitting over there. I don't mind the guy eating, but go eat in the locker room, and then when you come out, then you come out and be part of the team. But to sit on the end of the bench eating?"
James was seen eating on the bench while in street clothes during the second half of the Lakers' 129-125 loss to the Warriors. He finished the game with 12 points, five assists, and two rebounds in 18 minutes of action.
