Suns' Booker out 2nd straight game with strained calf
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker missed his second straight game Sunday against the Detroit Pistons due to a strained right calf.
The three-time All-Star originally sustained the injury Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs. It also forced him to miss Saturday's contest versus the Philadelphia 76ers.
The 27-year-old is averaging 31.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games this season. He was originally sidelined due to foot and ankle ailments.
The Suns, a presumptive championship contender, are off to a cold start to the 2023-24 campaign at 2-4. Key offseason acquisition Bradley Beal has yet to make his debut with the team, having also been sidelined due to a back injury.
Following Sunday's game in Detroit, the Suns have two days off before taking on the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.
