A LeBron James-themed museum will open its doors in the Los Angeles Lakers star's hometown of Akron, Ohio, later in November.
First announced in February 2022, the LeBron James' Home Court Museum describes itself as "the world's first and only official museum dedicated to the journey and milestones of the kid from Akron." It's located inside House Three Thirty, a multiuse facility the LeBron James Family Foundation runs.
Visitors to the museum will be taken on a journey of James' life, from his time growing up in Akron's Spring Hill neighborhood to his Fab Five years at St. Vincent-Saint Mary High School and his 21 seasons in the NBA.
The multimedia experience includes a recreation of the Spring Hill apartment James lived in as a child, curated by his mother, Gloria James. Visitors will also learn about James' business ventures and philanthropy.
The museum opens to the public on Nov. 25, with tickets priced at $23 as a nod to James' jersey number.
