Miami Heat starter Tyler Herro has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 ankle sprain and will be re-evaluated in two weeks, the team announced Thursday.

Herro will be in a walking boot for 10 days.

The injury was sustained during Wednesday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The former Kentucky guard has put up a career-best 22.9 points per game in the early going this season, shooting 44.7% from the floor and 41% from beyond the arc.

Herro was floated around in constant trade talks over the summer during the Heat's quest to bring Damian Lillard to Miami. Ultimately, the Portland Trailblazers wound up brokering a deal to send Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Heat have struggled offensively to begin the campaign, sitting just 27th in points per game at 107.5. Herro currently stands as their leading scorer, with 2023 playoffs superstar Jimmy Butler averaging just 18.4 points a game.
