Jazz trade Fontecchio to Pistons

The Utah Jazz are sending forward Simone Fontecchio to the Detroit Pistons, the team announced.

In exchange, Detroit is reportedly parting with forward Kevin Knox, a 2024 second-round pick, and the draft rights to Gabriele Procida.

Fontecchio, who went undrafted in 2017, signed a two-year deal with the Jazz in 2022 after solid stints in Italy, Germany, and Spain.

In 50 games with Utah this season, the 28-year-old started 34 of his appearances and averaged 8.9 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 39.1% from distance.

Knox played in 31 games for the Pistons this year, making 18 starts. He's averaging 7.2 points and 2.4 rebounds.
