Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard won't be in the lineup on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors due to a left adductor strain, the team announced.
The contest will mark just the fifth time Leonard has been unavailable this season after failing to top the 60-game threshold in six straight campaigns.
Leonard has been an MVP-level contributor for the 35-17 Clippers, averaging 24.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. He was named as a reserve for the All-Star Game.
Though the team didn't reveal a timeline for Leonard's injury, Atlanta Hawks big man Clint Capela has missed five straight games, and Houston Rockets guard Fred VanVleet has missed four with the same designation.
