Lue fined $35K for 'questioning the integrity' of refs
Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue was fined $35,000 for criticizing referees and "questioning the integrity of game officials," the league announced on Friday.
Lue was ejected from Wednesday's 130-125 victory over the Golden State Warriors after picking up a second technical foul during a fourth-quarter altercation between the two squads.
After the contest, Lue was seen in a video that captured him in the team tunnel saying "Where the refs at now? Cheating, that's all they've been doing."
The veteran coach also appeared to specifically call out referee James Williams, saying, "Where James at? The referee, I want to kick him in the mouth."
Despite Lue's frustration, the surging Clippers moved to 36-17 with the win. They sit just two games back of the Western Conference's No. 1 seed.
