Report: Thomas signing 10-day deal with Suns
Two-time All-Star Isaiah Thomas plans to sign a 10-day contract with the Phoenix Suns, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Thomas has been playing with the Salt Lake City Stars, the G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz. The veteran guard scored at least 30 points in four appearances.
Thomas played with the Suns in 2014-15. In 46 games, he averaged 15.2 points, 3.7 assists, and 2.4 rebounds, primarily as a reserve. Phoenix traded him to the Boston Celtics, where he earned All-Star nods in back-to-back years.
The veteran guard has struggled to remain healthy and available, playing in 109 games since 2018. He played 17 games for the Charlotte Hornets in his last NBA stint during the 2021-22 season, averaging 8.3 points on 43% shooting from the field.
Phoenix is 39-28, good for seventh in the Western Conference.
