The Chicago Bulls are signing former Indiana Pacers center Jalen Smith to a three-year, $27-million deal, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Smith joins a division rival in the Bulls after spending the last two-and-a-half seasons with Indiana.
The Maryland product was taken No. 10 overall in 2020 by the Phoenix Suns but failed to make an impact with the franchise before being dealt to the Pacers.
He averaged a career-high 9.9 points per game last season, adding 5.5 rebounds on 59.2% shooting. Smith developed into a strong 3-point shooter, hitting 42.4% of his 2.4 3-point attempts a night.
