Report: Pistons reunite with Tobias Harris on 2-year, $52M deal
The Detroit Pistons are signing former Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris on a two-year, $52-million contract, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Harris previously played with the Pistons from 2016-18.
The 31-year-old's 13-year NBA career has spanned five teams, including the last five-and-a-half seasons in Philadelphia. Harris has never made an All-Star team but has averaged between 14.6 and 20 points per game in each of the last 11 campaigns.
For his career, Harris has averages of 16.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists while shooting 47.8% from the field and 36.8% from long range. He shot a career-best 41.1% from deep in the 2017-18 season, split between the Pistons and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Harris' 76ers tenure ended on rocky footing, with the veteran averaging just nine points per game in the team's first-round playoff series loss to the New York Knicks, including zero points on 0-of-2 shooting in 29 minutes during the decisive Game 6.
On a young, rebuilding Pistons team, Harris will serve as a veteran presence alongside rising star Cade Cunningham.
