George wants 76ers fans to 'be as critical and as hard as you can'
Paul George is ready to find out just how ruthless Philadelphia 76ers fans can be.
At his introductory press conference with the 76ers on Tuesday, the nine-time NBA All-Star asked the team's fanbase to be as critical as possible.
"Be as critical and as hard as you can," George said, according to Ben Istvan of the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I think it's going to work out for myself and for the team. … I'm not scared or shying away from that at any point, at any stage. That's what you look forward to."
George joined the 76ers earlier this month on a four-year, $212-million deal after spending the last five seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers. Before that, he had stints with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers.
In 74 games last season, the 34-year-old George averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
