Undrafted PG Myck Kabongo to join Spurs training camp

The stock of Canadian point guard Myck Kabongo has fallen quite a bit in the past two years.

Originally thought to be a potential first round pick, Kabongo spent part of his sophomore season at Texas on suspension, entered the draft but didn't get selected and was then cut from the Canadian national team.

But things are looking better for Kabongo, who will be joining the San Antonio Spurs for training camp:

The Spurs took a similar approach with Canadian point guard Cory Joseph, who they took 29th overall in 2011. Joseph split 2011-12 and 2012-13 between the Spurs and their D-League affiliate and looks like a potential breakout candidate for 2013-14.
