Dallas Mavericks guard Jaden Hardy is signing a three-year, $18-million extension, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Hardy has averaged 7.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game over two seasons. He's likely to receive more minutes early in the campaign as Dante Exum will miss three months after undergoing wrist surgery.
Dallas selected Hardy with the 37th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft after he spent one season with the G League Ignite.
While the Mavericks extended Hardy, they didn't agree to terms with the extension-eligible Quentin Grimes, sources told The Athletic's Fred Katz.
Dallas kicks off the 2024-25 season at home against the San Antonio Spurs.
