Raptors' Quickley out at least a week with elbow injury
Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley will be re-evaluated in a week after he sustained a partially torn UCL in his left elbow, the team announced.
Quickley suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Toronto's loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 10. He missed eight games earlier this season after suffering a pelvic contusion on opening night.
The fifth-year Kentucky product has also been sporting a thumb brace due to a pre-training camp injury.
Quickley is averaging 15.3 points, four assists, and two rebounds over three games this season. Davion Mitchell and Jamal Shead should see a bigger role in the backcourt with Quickley out.
The injury bug has bitten the Raptors hard to begin the season. Scottie Barnes, Bruce Brown, Ja'Kobe Walter, and Kelly Olynyk are all also currently sidelined.
Toronto sits at 2-9 and is currently last in the NBA. The Raptors will look to end a four-game losing skid Tuesday versus the Milwaukee Bucks.
