Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas will miss Tuesday's NBA Cup contest against the Charlotte Hornets due to lower back tightness, the team announced ahead of the game.
The Nets started second-year wing Jalen Wilson in Thomas' place.
The absence is Thomas' first of the season. He's averaging 24.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 14 contests this campaign while ranking 14th in the league in points per game and 12th in total points.
Thomas led the Nets in scoring last year, averaging 22.5 points per game. Brooklyn drafted the former LSU guard 27th overall in 2021.
Brooklyn is 5-8 on the season, dropping its last three contests.
