Report: Bulls' Ball targeting Wednesday return vs. Magic
Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball is targeting a return to action Wednesday against the Orlando Magic after missing about a month with a wrist sprain, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania and Ramona Shelburne.
Bulls coach Billy Donovan said Ball is on track to play 15-to-16 minutes barring any setbacks, according to Chicago Sports Network's K.C. Johnson.
Ball was hurt in Chicago's victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 28. He recorded six points, one rebound, and six assists in 17 minutes.
He returned to NBA action this season after missing the last two-and-a-half years with a left knee injury. The 27-year-old appeared in just three games before spraining his wrist.
The Bulls said Nov. 15 that the former No. 2 overall pick had suffered a setback in his recovery. Ball was struggling to catch passes without pain and he had yet to play against a live defense.
In his three games this season, the UCLA product is averaging 4.7 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
