Wemby sad after viral swapped jersey gets put up for auction
San Antonio Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama reacted to news on social media that a game-worn jersey he gave to a young fan in December was put up for sale on an auction website.

After the Spurs' 96-87 Dec. 27 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, Wembanyama swapped his game-worn jersey with a young fan who was wearing his own San Antonio jersey. The fan also held a sign asking for the trade.

The jersey was put up for sale on the Goldin website with the starting bid set at $10,000. The auction opens Jan. 22.
Wembanyama and Spurs teammate Chris Paul also gave their signed jerseys to the sons of Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick earlier this week after they lost their memorabilia collection in the Pacific Palisades wildfire that burned down the family's home.
