Klay open to All-Star 3-point contest with Curry, Clark, Ionescu
This year's NBA All-Star Weekend festivities could feature a Splash Brothers reunion.
Klay Thompson left the door open Monday when asked about participating in a potential 3-point competition with former Golden State Warriors teammate Stephen Curry and WNBA stars Caitlin Clark and Sabrina Ionescu.
"I don't know the details, but if the opportunity presents itself, that'd be cool to be part of," Thompson said following the Mavs' 130-108 victory over the Washington Wizards, according to Brad Townsend of the Dallas Morning News.
Curry and Ionescu took part in the first-ever NBA versus WNBA 3-point challenge at the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, with the Warriors star winning. The pair floated the idea of turning the event into a tag team competition, and ESPN's Shams Charania reported in November that efforts were being made to get Thompson and Clark involved.
The 2025 NBA All-Star Weekend will be held Feb. 14-16 at Chase Center in the Bay Area.
