Maggette hinted that he will retire if the Spurs do not offer him a roster spot, the San Antonio Express-News reports.
Maggette, a training camp invite, had a major opportunity to keep himself in the hunt for a roster spot Sunday with Kawhi Leonard taking the day off, but shot only 1-4 from the field in 27 minutes. The Spurs already boast a strong wing rotation, and it's unclear that Maggette would be called into anything more than a limited role. If the 33-year-old veteran is true to his word, it's not unlikely that he will walk into the sunset in the coming weeks.
