Ant 'scared' after Doncic trade: 'Anybody is able to get traded'
Like many around the NBA, Anthony Edwards was shocked by Saturday's blockbuster trade that sent Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star told reporters Monday night that he felt bad for Doncic because of the secrecy surrounding the trade. He also delivered a message to Timberwolves president of basketball operations Tim Connelly, asking that he receive a heads-up if the team ever decides to deal him.
"They traded probably the best scorer in the NBA at 25. And he didn't know about it. ... I'm scared," Edwards said following the Timberwolves' 116-114 loss to the Sacramento Kings. He added with a laugh: "Tim, if you're gonna trade me, let me know, dawg. When Luka got traded, anybody is able to get traded at that point."
