LiAngelo Ball to perform at NBA All-Star Saturday Night
One member of the Ball family will get to attend the NBA All-Star festivities.
LiAngelo Ball will perform Feb. 15 as part of All-Star Saturday Night at Chase Center in his first televised performance, the league announced, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Ball spent time with the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets organizations but never made an NBA appearance. He last played professionally in Mexico.
In January, he signed a multimillion-dollar record deal with Universal under the stage name GELO. His latest single, Tweaker, features a verse from four-time Grammy winner Lil Wayne.
All-Star Saturday Night events include the Three-Point Contest, Skills Challenge, and Dunk Contest. The NBA All-Star Game will take place Sunday.
His older brother Lonzo plays for the Chicago Bulls and is averaging 7.2 points and 3.4 boards while playing 21.6 minutes over 30 games. The 27-year-old has missed the previous two seasons due to injury.
His younger brother, LaMelo, plays for the Hornets. Over 31 appearances, LaMelo has averaged 28.2 points, 7.3 assists, and 5.3 rebounds in 33.3 minutes.
