Luka Doncic recorded his first triple-double with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, putting up 19 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists in a 107-99 victory over his former team, the Dallas Mavericks.

It was Doncic's first game against the Mavericks since the franchise shockingly traded him to the Lakers earlier in February.

Doncic, 25, became the second player in NBA history to record a triple-double playing for and against the same team in a season, according to The Associated Press' Josh Dubow. James Harden did it in 2021-22 with and versus the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Slovenian star now has 81 career triple-doubles in the NBA.

"I can't wait to go to sleep, honestly," Doncic said postgame, per Hoop Central. "I'm exhausted."

Doncic admitted he wasn't sure how to handle his emotions against his former team.

"I felt like I didn't know what I was doing (on the court)," Doncic said, according to The Athletic. "I'm glad we got the win."

LeBron James led the Lakers in scoring with 27 points, while Austin Reaves contributed 20.

The Mavericks got 35 points from Kyrie Irving, while Klay Thompson added 22. Max Christie scored 10 against his former team.

Anthony Davis, the main player Dallas received for Doncic, didn't play due to an adductor strain. He played one game for the franchise but has missed the last six.

The Lakers improved to 35-21, while the Mavericks fell to 31-28.

Doncic is slated to make his return to Dallas on April 9.
