Dion Waiters receptive to criticism from Mike Brown
Cavaliers shooting guard Dion Waiters is a big fan of Mike Brown's "tough love" approach.
"He takes me out, talks to me and then puts me back in," Waiters told The Morning Journal after the Cavaliers' 92-74 loss to the Bobcats on Tuesday.
Brown pulled Waiters out of the game at least three time to point out mistakes he was making. After struggling to guard Gerald Henderson, Brown called a time out and brought the 21-year-old to the sideline.
"You're better than this," Brown told Waiters.
And after the game, the head coach acknowledged that it was a good idea pulling the shooting guard out.
"To his credit, he tried harder," Brown said. "He has a lot of room to grow."
Waiters scored five points on 2-for-7 shooting.
