Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and guard Jamal Murray will not play Monday against the Golden State Warriors, the team announced.

Jokic is sidelined due to an elbow contusion and an ankle impingement, while Murray is out with left knee inflammation.

Monday's encounter is Denver's third game in four nights following a Friday-Saturday back-to-back at home against the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards.

The Nuggets face the Lakers again Wednesday in L.A.

Jokic is building a strong case for a fourth MVP award in five seasons. The 30-year-old Serbian is averaging a triple-double of 29.1 points, 12.8 rebounds, 10.3 assists, and 1.8 steals, while shooting a career-high 41.3% from distance on 4.6 attempts per game.

Murray, meanwhile, has been one of the Nuggets' hottest scorers since the All-Star break. He's averaged 23.2 points per game in 13 contests and is hitting 46.7% of his threes.

The Nuggets will also be without guard Christian Braun on Monday due to inflammation in his left foot.
