The Orlando Magic selected Michigan State guard Jase Richardson with the 25th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.
The son of 13-year NBA veteran Jason Richardson, Jase followed in his father's footsteps and played for the Spartans. He was the team's best 3-point shooter and one of two players to average double digits in points. Richardson made the All-Big Ten third team and led Michigan State to the Elite Eight, the school's best March Madness finish since 2019.

Richardson doesn't let his relatively small frame stop him from being a scoring threat on all three levels of the offense. The 19-year-old is especially adept from three. Richardson doesn't force tough shots and is able to make the right read to teammates when the defense collapses. He also competes on the opposing end, surveying how plays are developing to force turnovers with on-ball steals.
NBA comparison: Eric Gordon. An undersized guard who could shoot threes at an above-average rate, the former Sixth Man of the Year and Three-Point Contest winner is a good model for Richardson, whose shooting will likely be his calling card in the NBA for a long time.
