New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson will miss an extended period of time with a right adductor injury, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Williamson missed Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He will be re-evaluated in three weeks, Charania adds.

The two-time All-Star is averaging 22.1 points and 5.6 rebounds over 10 games this season.

The 25-year-old was shut down in March for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign due to a back injury. He began the current campaign healthy but missed time in late October with a foot injury and early November with a hamstring ailment.

The 2019 first overall pick has averaged 24.6 points, 6.6 boards, and 4.3 assists over his career, playing 31.4 minutes per game in 224 contests.
