Report: Wemby out vs. Pacers after MRI shows no ligament damage
San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama won't make the trip to Indiana to play the Pacers on Friday after an MRI on his left knee came back clean and showed no ligament damage, a source told ESPN's Michael C. Wright.
Wembanyama said he was diagnosed with a hyperextended knee after attempting to grab a rebound against the New York Knicks on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old star is missing Friday's game so he can get additional care in San Antonio, and his status for Saturday's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers in Texas will likely be questionable, reports Wright.

Wembanyama hobbled off the court after the injury and didn't return to the game, but he said he felt fine and didn't expect to miss any time following the 134-132 victory over the Knicks.
The Frenchman is averaging 24.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game for the Spurs, who sit second in the Western Conference with a 24-9 record.
