Rich Paul intends to find a new home for Anthony Davis.

The prominent NBA agent wants the Dallas Mavericks to trade his client, ESPN's Tim MacMahon reported Thursday. MacMahon adds that Paul has made his desire "clear."

However, Dallas reportedly isn't in a rush to send out the injured forward, who's expected to remain sidelined through most of February after damaging ligaments in his left hand during a Jan. 8 loss to the Utah Jazz. While the Mavericks have engaged in talks with teams regarding Davis, the franchise doesn't believe it has to part with the 32-year-old, even during the summer, according to MacMahon.

Last Wednesday, the Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors were reported to be among the teams interested in acquiring Davis despite his latest setback.

Davis is averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.7 blocks in 20 games this season. The hand injury marks the 10-time All-Star's second extended absence of the campaign; he missed 14 straight contests in November with a strained calf. He also sat out a majority of the second half of last season after re-aggravating an adductor injury sustained during his Mavericks debut.

Dallas (18-26) sits one-and-a-half games out of the Western Conference play-in picture despite also being without Kyrie Irving, who continues to recover from ACL surgery. Irving has yet to be cleared to practice, and the team may consider delaying his return until next season due to its position in the standings, sources told MacMahon.
