Blazers' Henderson to make season debut Friday vs. Grizzlies
Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson will make his season debut Friday at home against the Memphis Grizzlies, head coach Tiago Splitter said Thursday, according to Joe Freeman of The Oregonian.
Henderson has yet to play this season after tearing his left hamstring in September.
The former third overall pick has been hampered by injuries since being drafted by Portland in 2023. He missed the final eight games of the 2024-25 season while in the NBA's concussion protocol, and a quad issue earlier in the campaign sidelined him for seven of eight contests between November and December.
Henderson has averaged 13.3 points, 5.1 assists, three rebounds, and one steal across 128 career games over two seasons.
The Trail Blazers (23-28) hold a two-game advantage over the Grizzlies for the final play-in berth in the Western Conference.
