Curry will miss at least 5 more games following MRI

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry underwent another MRI on his injured right knee and the results came back clean, sources told ESPN's Anthony Slater.

He will be re-evaluated in 10 days and will miss at least five more games, the team announced Thursday.

Curry was diagnosed with patellofemoral pain syndrome or "runner's knee." He reportedly continues to deal with persistent pain and swelling, according to Slater.

The 37-year-old was ruled out for Thursday's game against the Boston Celtics after he told training staff he didn't feel ready to participate in a scrimmage following the All-Star break, Slater added.

"We've got to be certain," Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. "He's got to be certain. ... It is a little nebulous, but that's the nature of the injury."

Curry has been inactive for the Warriors' past five games and hasn't played since Jan. 30 against the Detroit Pistons.

The 11-time All-Star is averaging 27.2 points in 31.3 minutes per game this season.
