Timberwolves rule out Anthony Edwards against Pistons to manage right knee pain
DETROIT (AP) — The Minnesota Timberwolves ruled out Anthony Edwards to help manage pain in his right knee against the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night, one game after he scored 17 points in 23 minutes in a win over Dallas.
Edwards returned against the Mavericks after missing six games with an injured right knee.
He has played in 59 games and the Timberwolves have six more games in the regular season, numbers that will be closely watched with the NBA's 65-game requirement to be eligible for postseason awards.
