Damian Lillard sets record for threes in first 100 career games
Damian Lillard added another line to his resume for the NBA's 3-point competition on Friday night.
In the third quarter against the Boston Celtics, the Portland Trail Blazers sophomore hit his second three of the game and the 212nd of his career.
With 212 3-point field goals, Lillard has passed Voshon Lenard for the record of most threes made in a player's first 100 career games. To make it more impressive, this was just Lillard's 91st game.
In other words, Lillard has now hit more threes in his first 91 games than anyone else has ever hit in their first 100. He's also second in attempts (well behind Jason Williams) with 566, giving him a 37.5 percent clip for his career.
