Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is expected to play in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals against the San Antonio Spurs barring any setbacks, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Edwards was initially expected to miss multiple weeks after suffering a hyperextension and bone bruise in his left knee during Game 4 of Minnesota's opening-round series against the Denver Nuggets.
He's undergone multiple treatments, including hyperbaric chamber sessions, to hasten his recovery, Charania reports.
The team announced Sunday that Edwards had been cleared for on-court basketball activities and upgraded him to questionable.
The 24-year-old released a video on his YouTube channel Sunday documenting his recovery process. The video included an interview with David Hines, Minnesota's vice president of medical operations and performance.
The four-time All-Star has also been managing inflammation in his right knee over the past month.
Game 1 of the series tips off at 9:30 p.m. ET in San Antonio.
