The Phoenix Suns and forward Dillon Brooks have agreed on a three-year, $73-million extension, Mike George of Klutch Sports told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Brooks had one year remaining on his contract before the new deal and was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in 2027. He's now locked in through the 2029-30 season.
The 30-year-old was acquired by the Suns last July as part of a blockbuster trade that saw Kevin Durant head to the Houston Rockets. He previously spent six seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies before a two-year run in Houston.
Brooks averaged 20.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while shooting 43.5% from the field in 56 contests last season. He also shot 34.4% from distance and played a crucial role in the Suns' defense, which ranked eighth in points allowed per game.
The Suns have now signed Brooks, Collin Gillespie, Mark Williams and Jordan Goodwin to multi-year deals this offseason. Phoenix was a surprise playoff team last campaign, finishing eighth in the Western Conference with a 45-37 record.
Phoenix also added Miles Bridges in a trade with the Charlotte Hornets and signed Luke Kennard to a two-year, $13-million contract in free agency.
