Raptors seize lead of lowly Atlantic Division

You can't say the Atlantic Division isn't competitive - within itself.

In a game that someone had to win, the Toronto Raptors beat the Philadelphia 76ers 108-98 Wednesday night, assuming control of the lowly Atlantic Division, and jumping from tenth-to-4th in the Eastern Conference.

All five teams had their chances Wednesday, but the Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, and Boston Celtics all made like the Sixers, and added an "L" to their total.

While it certainly isn't convincing, the Raptors can take pride in their first division lead since April of 2007 - the year they sent their only banner to the rafters.

But despite the solace some may feel in Toronto, they aren't receiving many pats on the back, league-wide.
