Lakers recall Ryan Kelly and Elias Harris from D-League

The Los Angeles Lakers have recalled Ryan Kelly and Elias Harris from the Los Angeles D-Fenders from the D-League.

It's unclear what the point of the assignment was - both players spent a week while technically under assignment, but the D-Fenders didn't play a game. The team didn't suffer any injuries to forwards, either, so there's no apparent need for them on the active roster.

But who knows the teams reasons; perhaps there's a specific element the players were asked to work on, away from Lakers practices. Either way, they're back.
