VIDEO: The art of the NBA autograph (and what Marcin Gortat regrets signing)

Deciphering the scribbles of an athlete can be puzzling. Many of us spent a moment or two working on our signature as kids when we were bored in class, just in case we ever needed it for more than signing credit card slips in the future.

The Washington Wizards are no different, only they're still practicing and refining the scrawls almost daily for fans, family and good deeds. In the latest video issue of Wizards Magazine, the men of the Washington roster explain how their signatures came to be, and some of the most bizarre places they've written their names.

"I recently signed the forehead of a freshly born baby, which was ridiculous," Marcin Gortat said. "I don't know why I did that, I felt bad for this kid."
