The timeline for Xavier Henry's return continues to be pushed back.
He originally bruised his right knee back on Dec. 29 and was expected to miss a week-to-10 days. Then on Jan. 10, Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D'Antoni made an odd comment that Henry could soon be ruled out for the season; in reality, he returned for a Jan. 13 practice but suffered a setback.
Following the setback, the team said he'd miss another week. After an evaluation on Wednesday, however, the team is once again extending Henry's absence - the latest report has the guard missing another 10-to-14 days.
In other words, don't hold your breath. The team may know more following an MRI on Monday.
Before the injury, Henry was enjoying a nice breakout, averaging 10.1 points in 21.8 minutes, both career-highs. He's appeared in just 31 of the team's 43 games, however, cutting the story short.
