Chandler Parsons sets NBA record with 10 threes in a half (in a row!)
Chandler Parsons set an NBA record on Friday night, catching fire and hitting 10 3-point field goals in the second half. That breaks the previous record for threes in a half of nine, set by Deron Williams on March 8, 2013.

But wait, that's not the most impressive part - Parsons hit all 10 of those threes in a row.
It doesn't get more hot than that (though Ty Lawson hit 10 straight threes in a game in April of 2011 and players have hit more consecutive threes over multiple games).
The chances of a 38.5 percent 3-point shooter (Parsons' average over the past two seasons) are about one-in-14,000 (assuming independent events and a binomial distribution, which probably aren't entirely true but are probably 95-percent true).
Parsons finished the game 10-of-14 on threes, finishing two triples shy of the single-game record of 12 shared by Donyell Marshall and Kobe Bryant.
He did, however, set a career-high with 34 points and his hot shooting helped teammate James Harden reach a career-high with 13 assists. Unfortunately, the Rockets fell 88-87 to the Memphis Grizzlies and Parsons missed what would have been his 11th-straight three with 1:13 to play.
After the game, the loss seemed to have left Parsons less than happy with the performance, though he did admit to feeling "unconscious:"
