7-time All-Star Joe Johnson out Monday with knee tendinitis

The Brooklyn Nets will be without All-Star guard Joe Johnson when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night.

The seven-time All-Star is dealing with tendinitis in his right patella, an issue the team hopes to re-evaluate on Tuesday. Playing in all those All-Star games certainly takes it's toll.

Unfortunately for the Nets, you can't replace an All-Star. Alan Anderson may re-enter the starting lineup and try, but he has seven fewer All-Star appearances than Johnson - large shoes to fill.

In 44 games this season, Johnson, an Eastern Conference All-Star, is averaging 15.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and one All-Star appearance.

He has made seven All-Star Games in his career.
