Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant are NBA Players of the Month for January

On Wednesday, the NBA announced the Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Month for the month of January.

So congratulations are in order to New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and OH MY GOD LOOK AT THE MONTH KEVIN DURANT HAD!

Sorry. Yes, Durant takes the award in the West for the third straight month, and it is a very well deserved honor. Don't-Call-Me-Slim-Reaper averaged 35.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 6.1 assists for the month, shooting 54.9 percent overall and 43.6 percent on threes. His true shooting percentage was 68.5 percent and his player efficiency rating was basically asymptotic with infinity.

Anthony was alright, too, averaging 28.7 points, nine rebounds and 3.4 assists with a 56.8 true shooting percentage. He also dropped 62 points in a game, which probably helped wrap up this award.
