Raymond Felton thinks the fat jokes should probably end

Raymond Felton is tired of hearing about his fitness level and weight fluctuation.

First of all, been there, bro. We have at times looked like Boris Diaw and at times looked like Austin Daye, and back and forth, finally settling somewhere between. We know the struggle.

Second, well, yeah, it's understandable. Felton has struggled with his weight and fitness throughout his NBA career, at times upsetting fans for appearing out of shape. But that's no longer the case, as Felton is looking pretty cut, even dropping weight during the season.

So shut up:

"Right now, nobody (can) criticize anything about my fitness. My weight is down even lower than it was early in the season. And I feel great. Early in the season I was hurt. I’m playing with an injury. I just feel like that is a cop-out thing that somebody just wants to talk about.

“I had one year when I was out of (shape), now everybody wants to talk about my weight every year. It’s kind of getting old. It’s kind of getting on my nerves that that’s all you want to talk about. Don’t make no excuses for me. If you want to say that I’m not making shots, I’m not doing something as far as basketball, then do that. Stop trying to attack my weight all the time. I had one year that I was out of shape. That was it.”

Here's the issue though: Felton is never going to live down having been hefty in the past. Searching "Raymond Felton fat" returns 68,600 results on Google and includes this image, among others:

This is also what comes up if you begin searching for Felton on the popular search engine:

So yeah, you're probably not living the past down, Felton, no matter how trim you may currently look. Keep at it, though, because you look great, pal.
