With Julius Erving, Moses Malone, Dikembe Mutombo and other 76ers legends and alumni in attendance, it was Michael Jordan that got the first praise from Iverson, saying "yes, I was one of those kids that wanted to be like Mike."

After thanking various figures that helped him throughout his career, Iverson also found time to recognize some of his critics, such as ESPN's Stephen A. Smith and Philadelphia reporter Howard Eskin.
Iverson closed out the halftime event with a message to inspire the masses.
.@alleniverson: "I love ya'll for believing in me, and for caring about me as a man. I love Philly to death. Best place in the world!"
