Isaiah Thomas becomes shortest NBA player to record triple-double

With his 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in Tuesdays 117-111 OT win over the Washington Wizards, 5-foot-9 Sacramento Kings guard Isaiah Thomas became the shortest player to record an NBA triple-double, unseating previous record holder Michael Adams, the 5-foot-10 guard who had held the distinction for 23 years.
It's the cherry on top of what's been a surprising breakout season for the "new" Isaiah Thomas, who, despite playing for a 24-44 Kings team, has put up career highs in every offensive category and sits fourth among all point guards in PER (20.77). Not bad for a guy who was picked last overall in the 2011 draft, and was considered too short to ever make an impact at the NBA level.
