Report: 76ers to sign James Nunnally to second 10-day contract
The Philadelphia 76ers will reportedly extend small forward James Nunnally's time in the City of Brotherly Love.
According to Philly.com, the franchise will officially sign Nunnally to his second 10-day contract on Thursday, one day after his current deal expires.
While it's good news for a player who has floated back and forth between the NBA and the D-League since September, the fresh contract means that Nunnally may now be part of the 76ers team that sets an NBA record for most consecutive losses.
Assuming Philadelphia fall to both the Houston Rockets on Thursday and the Detroit Pistons on Saturday, the eventual 27-game losing streak would be the longest in NBA history.
In Nunnally's first 10-day stint with the 76ers, he averaged 2.2 points and 1.0 rebound over 12.4 minutes in five contests.
