According to a report from Marc Stein of ESPN, the Utah Jazz are planning to waive Andris Biedrins in order to free up a roster spot to claim Bulls power forward Erik Murphy.
Biedrins, along with small forward Richard Jefferson, was acquired by the Jazz in a salary-dump deal last off-season. The 28-year-old Latvian center has appeared in just 6 games this season, and has posted per-game averages of 0.5 points and 2.8 rebounds.
Erik Murphy was selected with the 49th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. However, due to a log-jam of forwards ahead of him in the depth chart, Murphy only played a total of 62 minutes this season.
