Dirk Nowitzki had 21 points for the Dallas Mavericks in Tuesday night's 95-83 victory over the Utah Jazz, giving him 26,714 career points and moving him past Oscar Robertson for 10th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list.
"He's one of the top 12 players in the history of the game," Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said of Nowitzki, via Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com. "This is only further evidence of it. You get into the top 10 all-time scoring, that's rare air there."
Nowitzki now sits 232 points behind Hakeem Olajuwon for ninth place.
