League upholds suspension for DeMarcus Cousins after 16th technical
DeMarcus Cousins will not get to play a 72nd game this season.
The NBA announced Monday that it will not rescind the technical foul Cousins was assessed Sunday. Because it is the Sacramento Kings center's 16th tech, it carries an automatic one-game suspension, which he will serve during the team's season finale against the Phoenix Suns Wednesday.
To be fair, DeMarcus Cousins made some progress this season and continues to improve. Still, it's not a good look to finish it on suspension

Cousins has already compiled a lengthy suspension history since entering the league in 2010-11. Along with reaching the 16-tech mark in each of the last two seasons, Sacramento suspended him for "unprofessional behavior" in December 2012 and he received a one-game suspension in February of this year for punching Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley.
