Brooklyn Nets point guard Shaun Livingston has a minor illness which will keep him from participating in the Nets' morning practice. He is listed as likely for Friday's game with the Raptors.
In the unlikely event that Livingston is unable to play, the Nets would likely abandon their small-ball lineup, shift everyone down a size, and insert Mason Plumlee in at center. Although Livingston is technically the Nets' back-up point guard behind starter Deron Williams, Livingston has spent the majority of his time playing alongside Williams as part of a small-ball line-up.
His size at 6-foot-7 has allowed Livingston to be highly effective in stemming Raptors shooting guard DeMar DeRozan's output on offense. Through two games, DeRozan is shooting 12-for-34 from the field, which is eight percentage points lower than his season shooting percentage.
The series is currently tied at 1-1.
